One of the greatest motivations for evangelism is the certainty of what lies ahead for those who belong to Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of Jesus is not merely a historical event. It is God’s guarantee that eternal life is real and that His promises will be fulfilled.

When Jesus declared, “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever!” (Revelation 1:18), He established His authority over death, hell, and eternity itself.

Because Jesus lives, believers have a secure and glorious future.

In Revelation 21, the Apostle John describes a breathtaking vision of the new heaven and new earth. He sees a renewed creation where sin, suffering, death, and sorrow have been permanently removed.

God promises:

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4).

What an incredible promise!

The new creation is not merely about escaping this world. It is about God making all things new. It is about living forever in His presence, experiencing perfect joy, complete peace, and unending fellowship with Jesus Christ.

At the center of the New Jerusalem stands the throne of God and of the Lamb. Everything that makes eternity wonderful flows from His presence.

The greatest treasure of heaven is not what we receive—it is Who we receive.

Jesus Himself invites all who are thirsty to come and drink from the water of life freely (Revelation 21:6).

This invitation remains open today.

People all around us are searching for satisfaction, peace, and purpose. Yet many are looking in places that can never truly satisfy. Only Jesus offers living water that springs up into eternal life (John 4:14).

As believers, we know where the fountain is.

Our responsibility and privilege is to point others to Jesus.

The certainty of eternity should fuel our urgency for evangelism. If we are excited about the glorious future God has prepared for us, we will naturally desire for others to experience it as well.

The future is certain because Jesus is alive.

And that is a message worth sharing.
