Scripture: Matthew 16:18–19; Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8

Jesus never intended His Church to become comfortable within the walls of a building. From the very beginning, He established His Church to be a movement that would carry the Gospel to every nation.

The Great Commission is not a suggestion—it is our assignment. Jesus commands His followers to go, make disciples, baptize believers, and teach them to obey everything He has commanded. This mission belongs to every Christian, not just pastors, missionaries, or evangelists.

The Apostle Paul reminds us that we are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). Every believer represents the Kingdom of Heaven wherever God has placed them. Whether at work, at home, in school, or among friends, each of us has opportunities to display the love of Christ and proclaim the message of salvation.

This mission cannot be fulfilled through human ability alone. Before sending His disciples into the world, Jesus promised the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). The baptism and continual filling of the Holy Spirit enable believers to witness with courage, minister with compassion, and persevere through opposition.

The early Church changed the world because they remained focused on Christ’s mission. They proclaimed the Gospel, depended on the Holy Spirit, loved people sacrificially, and trusted God to produce the harvest.

That same calling rests upon the Church today.

Rather than becoming distracted by the temporary concerns of this world, let us remain focused on the eternal mission of bringing people to Jesus Christ. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every prayer, and every opportunity to share the Gospel can become an instrument through which God changes someone’s eternity.

Jesus is still building His Church.

The Holy Spirit is still empowering believers.

The Gospel is still saving lives.

May we faithfully advance His Kingdom until the day our Savior returns.

Declaration

I declare that I will faithfully fulfill the Great Commission. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, I will boldly proclaim the Gospel, love others with the heart of Christ, and live each day as His ambassador until He returns in glory.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for allowing me to participate in Your eternal mission. Fill me daily with the Holy Spirit and help me recognize every opportunity You place before me to share the hope of Jesus Christ. Give me compassion for the lost, courage to speak Your truth, and perseverance to remain faithful. May my life bring glory to You and point countless people toward salvation.

In the powerful name of Jesus,

Amen.
