As we continue our study of the Beatitudes found in the book of Revelation, we come to the fifth blessing spoken by Jesus in Revelation 22:7:

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

These words appear near the very end of the Bible and serve as a final reminder to the people of God.

Jesus declares two important truths: He is coming again, and those who remain faithful to His Word are blessed.

The phrase “keeps the words” means more than simply reading Scripture. It means guarding it, believing it, and living according to it.

James 1:22 encourages believers to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. The blessing of God comes to those who actively live according to His truth.

The prophecy of Revelation reveals the victory of Christ over evil and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom. Those who keep the message of this book remain faithful to Christ even in times of difficulty or persecution.

As believers, we are called to live lives of obedience, faithfulness, and devotion to the Word of God.

When we walk according to His truth, we experience the blessing of living in alignment with His will.

Declaration

I declare that I will keep the Word of God in my heart and live according to His truth. I will remain faithful to Scripture and obedient to the voice of Jesus. I am blessed because I follow the Word of the Lord.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of Your Word. Thank You for the truth that guides our lives and prepares us for the return of Jesus. Help us to guard Your Word in our hearts and live according to Your truth. Strengthen us to remain faithful in a world that often rejects Your ways. Fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit so that we may walk in obedience and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
