There’s a growing number of people who are struggling with their identity and considering transgender surgery. If that’s you, I want to speak to you with love, compassion, and hope: the emptiness you feel cannot be healed by surgery. That void inside is spiritual, not physical.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says God has placed eternity in our hearts. That means we were designed for relationship with Him. Until we encounter His love, we will always feel like something is missing.

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). The abundant life is not found in reshaping our bodies but in allowing Christ to reshape our hearts. The enemy whispers that changing yourself will make you happy—but it won’t. It will only deepen the emptiness.

Instead, hear the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” True transformation comes through Jesus. He doesn’t offer a quick fix—He offers wholeness. He doesn’t just adjust what’s broken—He makes you brand new.

If you’ve been wrestling with these thoughts, I want you to know: God loves you right now. He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for you (Romans 5:8). You don’t have to earn His love. You don’t have to change yourself to be accepted. You are chosen, redeemed, and called a child of God (John 1:12).

Declaration

I am not empty. I am a child of God. My identity, worth, and fulfillment are found in Jesus Christ alone.

Prayer

Father, I pray for every person who is struggling with identity today. Reveal to them Your love. Heal their brokenness. Silence the lies of the enemy. Fill their hearts with Your Spirit and let them walk confidently in their God-given identity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
