The book of Acts is not just the story of the early church—it’s the blueprint for the church today. While the book itself is complete, its mission is ongoing. The same Holy Spirit who empowered the apostles is at work in us right now.

In Acts, we see the church born at Pentecost and carried forward in the power of the Spirit. We see believers navigating struggles, disagreements, and persecution—but always pressing forward. We see miracles, healings, bold preaching, and churches being planted. That’s not just history—that’s our model for today.

The Model of Acts Still Applies Today

  • Preach the gospel with boldness.
  • Lead unbelievers to salvation.
  • Baptize them in water.
  • Lay hands on them and see them filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
  • Plant churches and raise up leaders.
  • Send them out to reach even more people for Christ.

Too many churches today neglect the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but Acts shows us the full process of discipleship and empowerment. The mission of Acts doesn’t end until the rapture. Until then, we are the continuation of the story.

Affirmative Declaration

I declare today that I am a living continuation of the book of Acts. I will preach Christ boldly, live Spirit-filled, and be part of God’s mission to reach the world until Jesus returns.

Closing Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the example of the early church. Ignite in me the same passion, boldness, and fire that filled the apostles. Help me to live daily as a witness, to make disciples, and to walk in Your power. May my life be part of Your ongoing story of Acts until the day of Christ’s return. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
