“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15

Every day brings new distractions, new pressures, and new temptations. But it also brings new opportunities—to choose Jesus.
In Joshua 24, we read about a bold moment in Israel’s history. Joshua, nearing the end of his life, stood before the people and challenged them to decide once and for all: Whom will you serve?

This wasn’t a one-time altar call. It was a daily lifestyle. A daily covenant. A daily confrontation with idols, distractions, and compromise.

Today, the question still echoes:

“If serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…” (Joshua 24:15)

Here are four takeaways from this powerful passage:

1. Confront the Choice

We cannot serve both God and the idols of comfort, culture, or compromise. Like Joshua, we must tear down every false god in our hearts.

2. Confess Your Allegiance

The people didn’t stay silent—they spoke up. Confession is powerful. Don’t just believe in Jesus, declare Him.

3. Covenant with Conviction

Joshua warned about the seriousness of God’s holiness. Real commitment isn’t emotional; it’s spiritual and intentional.

4. Commit Daily

Joshua sealed the moment with a physical covenant. Today, we do that through our actions—our lifestyle becomes our living stone of commitment.

Let today be a day of recommitment. Don’t let this be just another “Christian moment”—let it mark a turning point.

📖 Study Joshua 24:14–28 today. Pray through it. Journal it. And declare your allegiance to Jesus once again.
