“To another prophecy…” – 1 Corinthians 12:10
“Desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” – 1 Corinthians 14:1
The gift of prophecy is one of the most powerful and personal gifts of the Holy Spirit. It’s not about predicting the future—it’s about declaring the heart of God for the moment.
It brings comfort, clarity, and conviction—right when we need it most.
What Is Prophecy?
Prophecy is when the Holy Spirit gives a believer a message from God to build up someone else.
- It may confirm direction.
- It may encourage someone in a tough season.
- It may reveal something that only God could know.
- It always brings glory to Jesus and aligns with Scripture.
📖 “The one who prophesies speaks edification, exhortation, and comfort to men.” – 1 Corinthians 14:3
Why Prophecy Still Matters:
- We live in an age of noise—prophecy brings clarity
- It confirms what God is already saying
- It unlocks faith and healing in the Body of Christ
- It reminds us: God is near and He’s speaking
“Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21
Can I Prophesy?
YES.
The Bible says: “You may all prophesy one by one…” – 1 Corinthians 14:31
You don’t have to be a prophet to be prophetic. If you’re filled with the Holy Spirit and rooted in the Word, God can and will speak through you.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I open my heart to Your voice. Activate the gift of prophecy in my life. Teach me to listen, discern, and speak with love and boldness. Use me to bring strength, comfort, and clarity to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
