“To one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit…”
– 1 Corinthians 12:8

There are moments in life when advice, experience, and intellect fall short. When problems are bigger than reason. When direction is unclear. That’s when the Holy Spirit releases one of His most powerful gifts: the Word of Wisdom.

This isn’t general wisdom like Proverbs or common sense. This is a moment of divine strategy—God’s supernatural insight, applied to real-life situations.

📜 Biblical Moments of the Word of Wisdom:

• Jesus and the Pharisees – When asked about paying taxes, Jesus replied, “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s…” (Matthew 22). It silenced His critics.
• Stephen in Acts 6 – “They could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.”
• Paul in Acts 27 – He warned the sailors with Spirit-given insight to preserve their lives in a storm.

In each case, a Word of Wisdom brought clarity, authority, and divine direction. And guess what?

The same Spirit speaks through believers today.

• Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading
• Cultivate prayer and discernment
• Be bold to speak when He gives you clarity
• Ask for the gift: “Eagerly desire spiritual gifts…” (1 Corinthians 14:1)
