“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.”
John 10:18

Jesus didn’t go to the cross because He was forced. He went because He loves you.

At any moment, He could have stopped the agony. He had the power. In the garden, He pleaded in prayer. On the road to Calvary, He stumbled under the weight of the cross. On the cross itself, He was mocked with, “If you’re really the Son of God, come down!”

But He didn’t.
Why?

Because His love was stronger than the pain.

Hebrews 12:2 tells us He endured “for the joy set before Him.” That joy was you—redeemed, restored, forgiven, and free.

So today, if you feel like giving up—remember Jesus didn’t.
When you feel alone, remember He was too… and He kept going.
When life feels unfair, recall His unjust trial, and the nails meant for you.

And yet… He finished the race. So can you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for not quitting. Thank You for enduring the cross for me. Help me not to grow weary or give up, no matter what I face. You are my strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
