“Have faith in God… whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt… it will be done.”
– Mark 11:22–24
We’ve heard this verse many times, but too often we file it under “spiritual metaphor” instead of “faith declaration.” Jesus didn’t speak these words lightly. He wanted to awaken boldness in us.
Faith isn’t passive—it speaks. It moves. It expects.
But let’s be honest. Over time, life erodes that kind of faith. Disappointments, delays, and detours cause us to pray smaller prayers. Safer prayers. Prayers without risk.
But here’s the truth:
- God is still listening.
- God is still able.
- God still honors mountain-moving faith.
Matthew 7:7–11 reminds us that our Heavenly Father gives good gifts to those who ask.
Hebrews 10:23 urges us to “hold unswervingly to the hope we profess.”
Ephesians 3:20 says He can do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”
And most of all, Hebrews 13:8 declares:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
If He answered bold prayers before, He still does today.
So pray again. Believe again. Speak to your mountain and expect it to move.
Prayer:
Lord, increase my faith. Help me speak to the mountains in my life with boldness and trust in Your power. Let me pray with expectation, not hesitation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
